An intraday Smart Money Concepts Expert Advisor for gold. It identifies liquidity sweeps of recent swing highs or lows. Price confirmation is achieved when a candle closes within the sweep candle's body. Trading is executed only in alignment with the H1 trend. Backtested on XAUUSD M15 using 1% risk per trade for the periods of 2025 and 2026.
How it trades
On each new M15 bar, the EA confirms swing highs and lows using a 5-bar lookback on both sides. Only closed bars are considered, ensuring no repainting.
A sweep occurs when a bar's wick extends beyond the last swing high or low by at least 0.15 ATR and then closes back within that swing's range. This is identified as a stop hunt.
The body of the sweep bar defines the order block. If the H1 price is above its 50 EMA, only sweeps of a swing low (buy setups) are considered. If the price is below the EMA, only sweeps of a swing high (sell setups) are considered.
Within the subsequent 3 bars, a candle must close through the order block, and its range must be at least 0.3 ATR. If these conditions are not met, the setup is discarded.
Entry is at market price. The stop loss is placed 0.1 ATR beyond the sweep wick, and the target profit is set at 2 times the stop loss distance.
The EA manages only one open position at a time. It does not employ grid trading, martingale, or averaging down strategies.
Certain features are included based on observed gold market behavior. The order is initially placed without Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP), with stops attached to the actual fill price immediately after execution. If stops cannot be attached, the position is closed instantly to prevent trading without a stop loss. Entries are disallowed in the last 15 minutes before the symbol's trading session ends to avoid
