This indicator analyzes your closed trades from your account history. For each trade, it visualizes the maximum favorable excursion (MFE) – the highest unrealized profit reached – and the maximum adverse excursion (MAE) – the deepest unrealized loss encountered.

It displays a vertical span from the worst point (MAE) to the best point (MFE) of each trade, with an arrow indicating the entry point and a line marking the exit point. A summary panel provides an overview of your trading performance.

The discrepancy between the peak unrealized profit and the actual realized profit, or the difference between the stop-loss level and the peak drawdown, highlights common trading issues that are not apparent in a simple balance curve.

A key metric is the capture ratio: it measures what percentage of the maximum favorable excursion was actually captured as realized profit. A high median capture ratio (e.g., 90%) suggests your exit strategy is effectively capturing profits. A low ratio (e.g., 30%) indicates that significant profit potential was left on the table.

The summary panel displays median values for MFE, MAE, and capture ratio for winning trades, and MAE for losing trades. It also shows the total number of trades analyzed and the median trade duration in bars.

Measurement Limitations:
Excursions are calculated using the high and low prices of the bars within the trading period on the chart's timeframe. The exact price movement within a single bar is not captured. It is recommended to use a timeframe that is sufficiently granular for your typical trade duration. The panel reports the median number of bars per trade, allowing you to assess if the chosen timeframe provides adequate resolution. Trades that occur entirely within a single bar are noted separately. Trades on instruments with unavailable historical data (e.g., expired futures contracts) are marked as
