Installation Instructions:
- Put mql4compat.mqh in your include directory (it resides on your Windows user roaming profile)
Modification Instructions for MQL4 EA/Indicator/Library/Script:
- In your MQL4 EA/indicator/library/script, please add the following line right after #property definitions
- Change MQL4 functions by adding mql4 to their names due to their changed parameters
- In indicators, manual tweaks are needed for OnInit() function and #property headers
- Also, IndicatorCounted() function needs to be changed to a variable for the same name by removing clauses or changing to MQL5 prev_calculated variable
Custom Indicators Instructions:
- Please see how #property headers are in MQL5 and then swap input parameters definitions type from extern to input
- In MQL5, they are now constants, and any attempt to change values will lead to errors
- The fix is by adding temporary variables, then copy input parameters values to them instead
Initialization Function:
- On the first line of your base code, please add the MQL4 reserved variables initialization function (the custom indicators will have warnings about OHLC/time/volume reserved variables if they are used in the OnCalculate() function, safe to ignore)
