The Glitch Index is calculated as follows:
- Glitch Index = (diff/closing price) * 100
where:
- sma = 30-period simple moving average
- diff = closing price - sma
- mult rocsma = rate of change(sma) * 0.1 + 1
- smamult = sma * rocsma
The system initiates a buy when the Glitch Index drops below -2 and sells when it rises above +2. However, it avoids long trades if the highest Glitch Index value within a 30-bar period exceeds 5, preventing entries during price corrections from overbought conditions.
Entry Conditions:
- Glitch Index < -2
- Highest Glitch Index in the last 30 bars < +5
If both conditions are met, buy at the market on the next bar.
Exit:
Exit the trade if the Glitch Index rises above +2, selling at the market on the next bar.
Money Management:
Each trade is sized at 6% of the current account equity. Note: This system is designed for daily and weekly time frames, and adjustments are required for lower time frames.
