The indicator has four configurable parameters:
Period
- The calculation period for the Moving Average.
Method
- The calculation method for the Moving Average.
Applied Price
- The price used for the Moving Average calculation.
Threshold
- The threshold value for the Moving Average slope.
Calculations:
The indicator determines changes based on the Moving Average slope relative to the threshold and the previous trend direction.
If the slope is greater than the threshold and the previous trend was less than 1, a shift occurs.
Alternatively, if the slope is less than the negative threshold and the previous trend was greater than 0, a shift occurs.
Otherwise, no shift is registered.
