The EA has eight input parameters:
- Begin Hour: Trading start time.
- End Hour: Trading end time.
- Experts Magic Number: Unique identifier for EA positions.
- Lots: Volume of positions to open.
- Slippage of Price: Maximum slippage allowed when opening a position.
- Multiplier Spread for Stops: Spread multiplier for calculating the proper distance for stop orders.
- Waiting for Environment Update (in seconds): Time to wait for trading environment updates.
- Number of Attempts to Get the State of the Environment: Number of attempts to obtain an accurate trading environment.
For pending orders (including stop loss or take profit), there is a minimum allowed distance for placing stop orders, known as
Stoplevel
. This means that pending orders cannot be placed closer than this distance to the price. If
Stoplevel
is zero, it indicates a floating value, and the minimum distance is typically the spread or sometimes double the spread. The parameter allows for a custom multiplier to calculate the minimum distance for pending orders.
When a trading order is sent to the server, a delay in execution may cause an inaccurate count of market positions. In such cases, the expert advisor waits for the specified time and then rereads the environment.
The number of waiting periods within one tick is set in the EA parameters. After exhausting all attempts to obtain an accurate environment, the EA exits processing and waits for the next tick, repeating the process if the environment remains unchanged.
Strategy testing with default settings was conducted using data from 2022.01.02 to 2023.03.29, but the EA did not perform well. Subsequently, the trading start and end parameters (
Begin Hour
and
End Hour
) were optimized on EURUSD H1 in 1-minute OHLC mode, resulting in improved performance.
