When you launch MTrainer in the Strategy Tester, you will observe two lines. A third line appears if you have set a value for PC Rate. These lines indicate the Stop Loss (SL Color) level, Take Profit (TP Color) level, and Partial Close (PC Color) level.Also recommended: strategy tester expert advisor - similar expert with strong performance on MetaTrader 4.
Position these lines to define your desired stop loss, take profit, and partial close points for your next order. Then, draw a new horizontal line on the chart where you intend to place your order. The default color for a new order is DimGray (OS Color). Ensure this line's color matches the color selected in the parameters. MTrainer automatically determines the order type based on the positions of the SL and TP lines.
The name of the horizontal line is irrelevant, as MTrainer will replace it with a pending order line (OP Color). Deleting the pending order line will cancel the associated order.
Once your order is pending, you retain the ability to reposition the SL, TP, and PC lines to modify your order. Moving the pending order line will cancel the existing order and submit a new one with the updated parameters. Adjusting the SL and TP lines directly modifies your current order. Moving the PC line will not alter the order itself but will signal a partial close when an open order price crosses this line. This functionality is effective once per order.
With an open order, you can freely move the SL, TP, and PC lines to adjust the order's parameters. The line color will change to the open order color (OO Color). Deleting the open order line will close the order.
