Stochastic RSI (sometimes referred to as DTOSC - Dynamic Trend Oscillator) is a technical indicator derived from the Relative Strength Index (RSI). It is essentially a stochastic version of the RSI.

Also recommended: stochastic multi-timeframe indicator - similar indicator with strong performance on MetaTrader 5.

The indicator's behavior is determined by three parameters: Stochastic 1, Stochastic 2, and Smoothing. Depending on these settings, the indicator can be:

- (x,x,x): A simple RSI
- (x,x,n): A smoothed RSI
- (n,x,x) or (x,n,x): Stochastic RSI in its traditional form
- (n,x,n) or (x,n,n): Smoothed Stochastic RSI
- (n,n,x): Double Stochastic RSI
- (n,n,n): Smoothed Double Stochastic RSI

Where 'x' represents a parameter less than or equal to 1, and 'n' represents a parameter greater than 1.

Overbought and oversold zones are marked to facilitate level crossings and aid in decision-making. All six variations of the indicator should be used in conjunction with the standard rules for Stochastic and RSI indicators. Despite the combination of a trend and momentum indicator, the combined rules are not overly complex to apply.
