The Ergodic DTI-Oscillator calculation is as follows:
where:
Ergodic_dti() is the ergodic line, which is the directional trend index DTI(q, r, s, u).
SignalLine() is the signal line, which is the EMA(ul) applied to the ergodic line.
Ul is the smoothing period of the signal line.
Input parameters:
Graphic plot #0 is the ergodic line (directional trend index):
q is the number of bars used in the calculation of DTI (default is 2).
r is the period of the 1st EMA applied to DTI (default is 20).
s is the period of the 2nd EMA applied to the result of the 1st smoothing (default is 5).
u is the period of the 3rd EMA applied to the result of the 2nd smoothing (default is 3).
Graphic plot #1 is the signal line:
ul is the smoothing period of the signal line, which is the EMA(ul) applied to the ergodic (default is 3).
Notes:
q must be greater than 0.
r, s, and u must be greater than 0. If r, s, or u are equal to 1, smoothing is not used.
ul must be greater than 0. If ul is 1, the signal line and ergodic line are the same.
The minimum number of rates required is (q-1+r+s+u+ul-4+1).
