The term 'Aroon' is derived from the Sanskrit word for 'the early light of dawn', symbolizing early signals.

The Aroon indicator comprises two lines: Aroon Up (green) and Aroon Down (red), accompanied by a histogram on the indicator's side. Calculations are based on the number of time intervals since the occurrence of maximum tops and bottoms on the chart. The sole adjustable parameter is the indicator's calculation period.

Initially, the indicator was designed for long-term trading on daily timeframes, utilizing two-week price fluctuations for its calculations. Consequently, the default number of periods is set to 14. When trading on lower timeframes, it is advisable to adjust this value to 25.
