The first MA (maopen) should be based on opening prices, and the second (maclose) on closing prices. These two are the primary signal indicators.
The third MA (mahigh) is based on high prices, and the fourth (malow) is based on low prices.
Trading Logic:
When the trend is downward, the opening price of candlesticks is typically higher than the closing price. Consequently, the moving average based on opening prices (maopen) will be higher than the moving average based on closing prices (maclose), and vice versa.
Therefore, a buy signal is generated when maclose crosses above maopen.
A sell signal is generated as soon as maopen crosses above maclose.
Take Profit and Stop Loss:
To maximize the effectiveness of the MA indicators, the Take Profit is set to the average spread for the given period, calculated using the formula: mahigh – malow.
The Stop Loss for a sell order is set at 2 * (mahigh – maopen).
The Stop Loss for a buy order is set at 2 * (maclose – malow).
