The Simple Zigzag indicator is an innovative tool for automated technical analysis visualization. Initially, it plotted local highs and lows on the chart. The latest enhancement enables the recognition of consolidation patterns.
This indicator identifies flat consolidation zones on the price chart. The parameters define the criteria for constructing these zones:
- Number of times the price touches the level.
- Number of zigzag points analyzed.
- High/Low maximum deviation around the level.
The fourth parameter, typical retracement size, is inherited from the parent indicator.
The upper part of the zone, where multiple highs form a line, is marked in red. The lower part, where multiple lows form a line, is marked in blue.
